Two 'three-bedroom homes' can differ by hundreds of square feet, completely different carpet conditions, and wildly different amounts of stain and pet work. Any flat number would be wrong for most of the people who read it — either too high, or suspiciously low with extras waiting on the day.

That's why reputable services quote individually. It takes a two-minute conversation or a short form, and the number you get actually means something.

Number of rooms — the base unit of most quotes. Square footage — a large open-plan living area isn't a 'room.' Carpet condition — maintained carpet cleans faster than carpet that's years overdue. Stain severity — spot treatment for wine or ink is separate work from the main clean. Pet stains and odors — treatment at depth is genuinely more labor than a standard clean. Furniture — pieces to be cleaned (sofas, sectionals, rugs) or worked around. Property type — residential rooms and commercial spaces price differently, and access matters.
